unstuffed cabbage rolls
My husband has always loved cabbage rolls and I decided to create my own recipe for unstuffed cabbage rolls, making it quicker, easier & more flavorful. We both thought this was just delicious and better than any cabbage rolls we had ever eaten! Hope you like it! And such a quick & easy recipe!

Ingredients
- 1 - 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- medium cabbage head, chopped
- Large - onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 can diced tomatoes ((14.5 oz)
- 1 can stewed tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 1/2 can water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups cooked instant white rice
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
- About 1 cup real bacon pieces
How To Make unstuffed cabbage rolls

Step 1Add olive oil to large skillet. Heat. Add diced onions, ground beef. Brown, add garlic, cook for a minute or two, add butter, add Diced tomatoes including liquid, tomato sauce, and 1/2 can water.

Step 2Crush stewed tomatoes with hands or blender including liquid, add to beef mixture.

Step 3Add salt & pepper. Add bacon & cabbage. Put lid on & simmer for 15-20 min on low.

Step 4Add cooked rice and stir well.
