Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce or tamari
- 4 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sherry
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 3/4 pound sirloin steak, sliced into 1/8 inch thin strips
- 4 green onions, halved length and cut into 2 inch pieceswise
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds

Step 1In a bowl combine soy sauce into cornstarch and stir to make a slurry. Add soy sauce through garlic powder to slurry and mix well. Set aside.

Step 2Heat a wok or skillet on medium high heat. Add cooking oil and heat until shimmering. Add beef strips and stir-fry until no pink remains.

Step 3Add green onion and stir-fry until soft. Stir cornstarch mixture and add to meat and onions. Bring to a boil until thickened. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
