stuffed peppers

Have been making this recipe for several years. Everyone raves over it, so hope you will like it as well. This basically is a meat loaf but stuffed into peppers. Very easy and quick.

Ingredients
- 4 - bell peppers (any color or mix)
- 1 pound extra lean ground beef or ground turkey
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1/2 cup parsley flakes
- 3/4 cup oatmeal (quick) or cracker crumbs crushed
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 - egg, beaten
- SMALL CAN OF TOMATOES CAN BE USED ALSO. DON'T WANT MEAT MIXURE TOO SOGGY
How To Make stuffed peppers

Step 1cut tops off peppers. What pepper flesh is cut, can be chopped and added to meat mixture. Clean out seeds and menbrane inside peppers. Place in a back dish

Step 2Mix ground meet with remaining ingredients. Mix well. Stuff meat into each pepper. Bake at 350 degrees till meat is done.

Step 3Note: you can add rice if so desired. This can be leftover rice about 1 cup into meat mixture or 1/2 cup instant rice.
