stir fry beef and broccoli in brown sauce

I have been making stir fry for ages what makes this so special is the sauce, courtesy of the Food Network magazine. The combo of ingredients as well as the marinade is what makes this special.

Ingredients
- 3/4 pound flank steak thinly sliced against the grain
- - marinade:
- 1 large egg white
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- - brown sauce:
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- 3 cups veggies of your choice, broccoli of course, sliced celery, sliced , bell peppers, 1 inch pieces of scallions, onions, mushrooms, bok choi, and also 1/4 cup peanuts
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 2 large scallions, minced green parts too
- pinch - each salt and sugar
How To Make stir fry beef and broccoli in brown sauce

Step 1Marinade meat at least one hour. Drain excess marinade off beef when ready to cook.

Step 2Place sauce, meat and veggies right by the stove, this goes fast.

Step 3Heat 1/4 inch of peanut oil in a wok or skillet over med high heat.

Step 4Add the beef, cook until nicely browned, remove from pan, cover and keep warm, wipe out pan.

Step 5Add 2 tablespoons of oil to pan, heat to med high. Add 2 cloves of minced garlic, 1 teaspoon minced ginger, salt, and 2 minced scallions. Stir fry about 30 seconds.Add pinch salt and sugar.

Step 6Add veggies starting with the ones that cook the longest. Stir fry til crisp tender.

Step 7Add the beef and sauce, and stir until everything is hot,and sauce thickened.

Step 8Serve with hot cooked rice.
