I recently got a new panini maker. This one in particular that was delicious.

Ingredients

8 oz flank steaks, cut about 3/4 inch thick
1
loaf ciabatta or focaccia bread, sliced horizontally
8 slice
tomato
3/4 c
shredded mozzerella
1/4 c
mayo
1/4 c
fresh basil
2 tsp
cayenne pepper sauce
1
clove garlic, minced
1 Tbsp
evoo

How to Make Steak & Cheese Panini - Italian Style

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat grill on high heat for 15 minutes. Season steak on all sides with salt and pepper.
  • 2Grill the steak on high, about 8 minutes per side. Let rest about 20 minutes before slicing, thinly,on the bias.
  • 3Assemble on the bread as follows: Spread each slice of bread with 1/2 the mayo, then top the bottm slice with steak, Cheese, salt, pepper, EVOO, pepper sauce, basil, & tomatoes and garlic. Top with the other slice of bread.
  • 4Reduce grill to medium heat and cook sandwich for 2 mintues on each side, until cheese is melted.
