steak and vegetables over rice

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar,packed
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cloves whole garlic
  • - dash basil
  • 2 1/2 pounds beef top sirloin steak, cut bite size
  • 24 - grape tomatoes
  • 24 - button mushrooms
  • 1 large green or red bell pepper, diced
  • 2 small zucchini squash, cut in coins
  • 1 medium onion, cut in wedges
  • 2-3 tablespoons instant potato buds
  • - hot cooked rice for 10 servings

How To Make steak and vegetables over rice

  • Step 1
    In a large resealable plastic freezer bag, combine first 7 ingredients; set aside. place all remaining ingredient into bag and seal. Turn bag to coat all meat and vegetables. Refrigerate overnight turning whenever possible. Discard whole cloves.
  • Step 2
    In a large skillet with 3 Tablespoons of vegetable oil stir fry meat until cooked and browned on all sides. Add vegetables and stir fry until cooked through and tender. Add the marinade and thicken with the potato buds. Serve over rice.
