I have an uncle who lived in Texas for quite a while and learned how to make great chili, this is one of his recipes.

Ingredients For spicy texas chili

2 Tbspcanola oil
-
1-1/2 lbboneless beef sirloin steak, 3/4"-thick, cut into 1/2" slices

1 mdonion, chopped
-
2 tspminced garlic
-
3 cspicy, chunky salsa
-
1/2 cwater
-
1 Tbspchili powder
-
1 tspground cumin
-
115 oz can red kidney beans, drained

chili toppings: tomato, sour cream, shredded cheese
How To Make spicy texas chili

1Heat 1 tbsp oil in lg pot, over med-high heat. In batches, brown beef. Remove beef from pot.

2Add to pot 1 tbsp oil. Cook onion and garlic for 2 mins. Add salsa, water, chili powder, cumin, and beans.

3Cover and cook over medium heat until heated through, and beef is tender. Top w/ chili toppings.
