Ingredients

sirloin steak
1 Tbsp
lemon juice
2 tsp
red wine vinegar ( 1 tsp reserved)
1 tsp
oregano
1 clove
garlic grated
4 Tbsp
evoo ( 3 tbs reserved)
2 oz
feta cheese

cherry tomatoes cut in half
1 Tbsp
diced red onion
1/2
medium cucumber cut into 1/8 inch slices
1/2 tsp
pepper

salad greens

How to Make Souvlaki salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a freezer bag combine the steak,1 TBS olive oil,lemon juice, garlic, 1 tsp of the red wine vinegar ,oregano and mix around and coat the steak evenly. Place in refrigerator 1 hour or overnight.
  • 2In a small bowl combine the reserved EVOO, red wine vinegar,pepper and whisk until emulsified. Place the tomatoes,cucumbers,red onion,olives and feta cheese and mix thoroughly. This can also set in refrigerator overnight.
  • 3Take steaks out and allow to come up to room temperature. Place a grill pan on a medium to high heat and add a little oil. Cook steak until desired doneness.
  • 4Arrange salad greens on a plate and place entire steak or cut steak on top of greens and pour over the feta-cucmber salad.
