1 lb
ground beef, i use ground sirloin
jalapoeno pepper, finely chopped
chipotle pepper, chopped (seeds and all)
1 Tbsp
adobo sauce
1 tsp
liquid smoke
1/2 Tbsp
onion powder
2 Tbsp
1 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce
strips of bacon
4 slice
of your favorite cheese (pepperjack would be awesome)
ciabatta rolls
salt and pepper

How to Make Smokey Jalapeno Bacon Cheese Burgers


  • 1Seed and finely chop your jalapeno pepper
  • 2Add your ground beef and the chopped jalapeno to a bowl
  • 3Chop your chipotle pepper add that plus your adobo sauce to the ground beef and jalapenos
  • 4Add your liquid smoke, worcestershire sauce, onion powder and mayo to another bowl whisk together
  • 5Combine all ingredients into the bowl with the ground beef and thoroughly mix with your hands
  • 6Divide the ground beef into four sections and make your patties
  • 7Cook the burgers however you see fit, I grilled them and finished them off in the oven to help melt the cheese, you do what you see fit. Cooking them in a cast iron skillet would be remarkable
  • 8Don't forget to cook your bacon! I put mine in the oven at 375 for 12 to 15 minutes depending on your oven the cooking time may vary
  • 9Once your burgers are cooked you can assemble them the way you see fit
