Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1 medium chopped red or green sweet pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups water
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 cup dry lentils, rinsed
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Step 1In a skillet, cook beef, onion, green pepper and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.

Step 2Add the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 60-70 minutes or until lentils are tender. Serve on buns.
