  • 1 lb
ground beef or turkey or mixture of both
  • 1 small
    onions, diced
  • 1
    green pepper, diced
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 bottle
    heinz chili sauce
  • 1/2 c
    heinz ketchup
  • 1 tsp

How to Make Sloppy Joes..

  1. Brown the Ground Beef or Ground Turkey. OR you can use 1/2 pound Beef & 1/2 pound ground Turkey. Add Onion, Green Pepper and Garlic. Works well with meat that has a little higher fat content.
  2. Drain mixture. Return to pan.
  3. Add remaining ingredients. Heinz Chili Sauce, Ketchup, Vinegar. Simmer for 30 minutes on low to medium.
For larger portions..1 bottle of Heinz Chili Sauce per pound of meat. Up the Ketchup by 1/4 cups.
The key ingredients are the Heinz Chili Sauce and Ketchup. You can season to your taste. Works great in a crock pot. I usually don't cook it in a crock pot because the meat gets soggy. I only use it to keep it warm.
