At the age of 13 my church started having an annual chili cook off challange and I won best over all on taste heat and apparence. I have been competeing ever since.

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs - ground chuck
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cayene pepper
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons seasoning salt
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 6 tablespoons your choice of hot sauce (krystal is what i use)
  • 2 sprigs fresh basil
  • 1 jar chunky salsa
  • 3 cans chili ready beans
  • 3 cans chili ready diced tomatoes

How To Make slap yo momma good chili

  • Step 1
    Turn crock pot on low heat and pour in beans tomatoes and hot sauce. ( do not drain cans)
  • Step 2
    Brown ground chuck with a pinch of all seasongings for added flavor. Drain meat.
  • Step 3
    Add in ground chuck and all seasonings to crock pot mixture. Leave on low setting until desired heat.
