Ingredients

1 lbground beef
-
1 Tbspbacon grease
-
2celery stalks, with leaves,chopped fine
-
1 smallonion, chopped
-
1 smallred bell pepper, chopped
-
1/2 ctomato juice
-
14 1/2 ozcan crushed tomatoes
-
1 tspeach, dried basil,and oregano
-
1 tspeach,and seasoned salt ,black pepper, garlic powder,
-
2 Tbspworcestershire sauce
-
3 ccooked rice with chopped celery leaves chopped fine
How to Make Skillet Unstuffed Peppers
- In my electric fry pan I added the bacon grease and heated pan to melt grease- move it around to coat bottom of skillet. Add ground beef and cook and scramble.
Add onion and celery. Stir till meat no longer pink. - Add remaining ingredients, except rice.
Stir to combine and heat through.
Make rice stir in a bit of butter and sosme chopped celery leaves.
Serve burger mixture over hot rice and sprinkle cheese over top ,if desired. - For casserole:
Butter or spray casserole dish place rice in dish then top with burger mixture- bake until heated through and cheese is melted, if using. Or mix rice and burger mixture together and place in casserole and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350^ until hot and bubbly;(add more tomato juice if needed for baking).
