skillet unstuffed peppers
This is all that was left for the Skillet unstuffed peppers...so I layered it in a small casserole dish and sprinkled cheese on top and will bake in the oven for another meal...

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon bacon grease
- 2 - celery stalks, with leaves,chopped fine
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 small red bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup tomato juice
- 14 1/2 ounces can crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon each, dried basil,and oregano
- 1 teaspoon each,and seasoned salt ,black pepper, garlic powder,
- 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 3 cups cooked rice with chopped celery leaves chopped fine
How To Make skillet unstuffed peppers

Step 1In my electric fry pan I added the bacon grease and heated pan to melt grease- move it around to coat bottom of skillet. Add ground beef and cook and scramble. Add onion and celery. Stir till meat no longer pink.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients, except rice. Stir to combine and heat through. Make rice stir in a bit of butter and sosme chopped celery leaves. Serve burger mixture over hot rice and sprinkle cheese over top ,if desired.

Step 3For casserole: Butter or spray casserole dish place rice in dish then top with burger mixture- bake until heated through and cheese is melted, if using. Or mix rice and burger mixture together and place in casserole and sprinkle cheese on top. Bake at 350^ until hot and bubbly;(add more tomato juice if needed for baking).
