I dreamed a way to give hubby the ultimate chicken fry

Ingredients

  • 2 - boneless ribeye steaks (any typical barbecue steak)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 package peppercorn ranch gravy mix
  • - cooking oil

How To Make skillet fried steaks

  • Step 1
    Marinate the steaks in the buttermilk for one hour
  • Step 2
    Mix the flour and peppercorn gravy mix..Dredge the steaks until completely covered..set aside to rest
  • Step 3
    Heat oil medium high in a cast iron skillet. You want enough oil to cover half way up the sides of the steak
  • Step 4
    Drop steaks into oil..Leave alone..do not turn..for a medium rare steak mine took 5 minutes per side
  • Step 5
    Test for doneness..
  • Step 6
    take out and let stand on a wire rack while making gravy using the flour from the breading of the steak.
