Shepards Pie

Tracey McKnight

This is one of the few things that I can make that everyone likes :) Instead of the jar of Gravy you can make your own. I have never beena gravy maker myself so, I use a dry mix in a packet that is imported from England and available at Pulix. It really is the bast way to make it, but not always available.

How to Make Shepards Pie

  1. Brown the ground beef and onions in a skillet. Add 2 cups of gravy (or use the Shepard's pie mix as directed). Let simmer for 5 minutes uncovered.
  2. Cook potatoes until they fall off the fork and mash with Salt, Pepper, milk and butter.
  3. Cook the vegetables as directed on the packet, I like to use the Steam fresh mixes.
  4. in a 9 x 13 Casserole Dish layer the ground beef mixture, then the vegetables and mashed potatoes, then Cheddar Cheese, and salt and pepper.

Bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes until the cheese has melted and started to turn brown a little.
