shepard's pie
I used to make this a couple times a month for the family. It's easy to put together after work and throw in the oven while you get a few chores done; and very frugal. I sometimes swap the hamburger for Louis Rich ground turkey as it's better for you and much cheaper than hamburger.

Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1 can (15oz.) corn
- - salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 cups mashed potatoes
- - garlic powder, to taste
- 5 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 - egg
- 1 can (15oz.) green beans
- 2/3 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon roasted garlic molly mcbutter
How To Make shepard's pie

Step 1Cook hamburger and onion until brown and crumbled. Season to taste with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Step 2Place in a 9x9-inch casserole; or pie plate.

Step 3Layer corn, and green beans on top of hamburger.

Step 4Mix instant mashed potatoes according to box directions; add 1 egg & Molly McButter and mix well. Layer on top of corn and green beans.

Step 5Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour. Lay cheese slices on top. Leave in oven until cheese melts.

Step 6Serves 4 to 6
