This is one of my absolute favorite steaks. This steak is packed with plenty of goodness. This is the steak I like to fix for the 4th of July.

How to Make SAUCY STEAK FOR THE GRILL

Step-by-Step

  1. Rinse the steaks and pat dry. In a small bowl combine all of the steak rub ingredients. Rub on both sides of steaks. Set aside for 45 minutes or refrigerate for up to 90 minutes.
  2. Be sure to allow time for the steak to warm up before grilling. ( Remove from refrigerator 45 minutes before placing them on the grill.)
  3. BASTING SAUCE:
  4. Combine all the basting sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  5. Prepare your grill for medium high heat. Place the steaks over the hottest part of the grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side, then move to a less hot part of the grill and continue cooking foe 4 to 5 minutes per side. Baste with sauce.
  6. Let the steaks rest, covered for 5 minutes before cutting. Serve with extra sauce on the side.
  7. NOTE: Spanish rice makes a great side dish for this steak.
