This is one of my absolute favorite steaks. This steak is packed with plenty of goodness. This is the steak I like to fix for the 4th of July.

How To Make saucy steak for the grill

  • Step 1
Rinse the steaks and pat dry. In a small bowl combine all of the steak rub ingredients. Rub on both sides of steaks. Set aside for 45 minutes or refrigerate for up to 90 minutes.
  • Step 2
Be sure to allow time for the steak to warm up before grilling. ( Remove from refrigerator 45 minutes before placing them on the grill.)
  • Step 3
    BASTING SAUCE:
  • Step 4
Combine all the basting sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  • Step 5
Prepare your grill for medium high heat. Place the steaks over the hottest part of the grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side, then move to a less hot part of the grill and continue cooking foe 4 to 5 minutes per side. Baste with sauce.
  • Step 6
Let the steaks rest, covered for 5 minutes before cutting. Serve with extra sauce on the side.
  • Step 7
NOTE: Spanish rice makes a great side dish for this steak.
