Ingredients
- 6 large green peppers, cleaned and parboiled for 5 minutes
- STUFFING
- 1/2 cup onions, chopped
- 1/2 pound ground chuck
- 2 tablespoons "fat" - olive or canola oil would be fine
- 5 tablespoons uncooked rice
- 1 cup water
- SAUCE
- 1 can tomato soup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
How To Make rusty's stuffed peppers

Step 1Saute the onions in fat until tender. Cook the rice in the water until it is fluffy and the water has been absorbed. Combine the onions, rice, and ground chuck and mix well. Stuff the peppers.

Step 2Make the sauce by combining all the ingredients in a saucepan. Cook for 10 minutes.

Step 3Place the peppers in a baking dish, pour the sauce over top and bake for about 1 hour at 350 degrees F until the peppers are tender.
