Ingredients
- 2 - sweet italian turkey sausage links
- 1/2 pound 93/7 or leaner ground beef
- 2 - 15 oz cans diced tomatoes w/oregano, basil, and garlic, no salt added
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup sweet onion, diced finely
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste, no salt added
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sweet basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried italian seasoning
- 4 - mushrooms sliced
- 3 cups cooked pasta
- - parmesan or mozzarella cheese

Step 1Cook pasta according to package directions.

Step 2Place garlic and onion in skillet, add beef and remove sausage from casing and add to skillet. Cook till meat is almost done, add canned tomatoes and paste, Italian seasoning and basil. Simmer for about 15 min. Add mushrooms and simmer another 5 min.

Step 3Mix pasta with meat sauce. Garnish with mozzarella or Parmesan cheese.
