Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef round steak, about 1/2" thick
  • 2-4 tablespoons coconut oil, bacon drippings, lard or tallow
  • 2 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 medium green pepper, sliced
  • 1/4- 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • - freshly ground black pepper
  • 8 large carrots, shredded

How To Make pepper steak

  • Step 1
    Cut steak into 1/4" - 1/2" slices.
  • Step 2
    Wash and prepare vegetables.
  • Step 3
    Add oil to a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step 4
    Brown the meat and onions in hot oil until the onions turn slightly translucent.
  • Step 5
    Stir in the green peppers, water and garlic salt. Cook another 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Step 6
    Season with black pepper and serve on a bed of shredded carrots.
