Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak cut into strips
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 cup water
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger root, minced
- 1 - medium onion, sliced
- 2 - green peppers, sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced into wedges
How To Make pepper steak

Step 1heat oil in a skillet over med. high heat. add the steak and cook until browned, about 5 min.

Step 2add the water, garlic, ginger, and onion. heat to a boil, then cover and simmer for 10 min.

Step 3add the green peppers to the pan and continue to simmer with the lid on for about 5 minutes or until the peppers are tender.

Step 4in a small bowl stir together the soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch. add it to the pan and bring mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. cook for 1 minute.

Step 5Add the tomatoes and heat through. Serve over rice.
