Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 small
    poblano or jalapeno pepper, chopped
  • 1 large
    onion, chopped
  • 1 large
    green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp
    minced garlic
  • 2 can(s)
    Bush's chili beans, medium, 16 oz.
  • 2 can(s)
    Bush's chili beans, hot, 16 oz.
  • 2 can(s)
    kidney beans, canned (dark and light), 16 oz.
  • 1 can(s)
    black beans, 15 oz.
  • 1 can(s)
    pinto beans, 16 oz.
  • 1 can(s)
    tomato sauce, large, 28 oz.
  • 1 c
    picante sauce, medium
  • 2 Tbsp
    Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    A-1 sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    light brown sugar (or to taste, but you need some!)
  • ·
    chili powder, cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to taste

How to Make OMG Chili

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown ground beef with chopped poblano or jalapeno pepper, onion, green bell pepper and garlic. Drain the fat off when browned.
  2. In a large pot, add all ingredients together. Simmer for 2-3 hours, minimum. Taste frequently and adjust your ingredients to your taste.
  3. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

    Serve with my cornbread recipe or your favorite cornbread, crackers or fresh bread.
