Blue Ribbon Recipe

This is one hearty chili. With all the different beans in this recipe, it's packed with flavor and delicious. There's just enough heat for this to have a kick. Bring this to your next tailgate, and you'll be the all-star of the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small poblano or jalapeno pepper, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 cans Bush's chili beans (medium, 16 oz each)
  • 2 cans Bush's chili beans (hot, 16 oz. each)
  • 2 cans kidney beans (dark and light, 16 oz each)
  • 1 can black beans (15 oz)
  • 1 can pinto beans (16 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (28 oz)
  • 1 cup picante sauce, medium
  • 2 tablespoons Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons A-1 sauce
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar (or to taste, but you need some!)
  • - chili powder, cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to taste

How To Make omg chili

  • Ground beef with jalapeno pepper, onion, green bell pepper, and garlic.
    Step 1
    Brown ground beef with chopped poblano or jalapeno pepper, onion, green bell pepper, and garlic. Drain the fat off when browned.
  • All ingredients added to a pot.
    Step 2
    In a large pot, add all ingredients together. Simmer for 2-3 hours, minimum. Taste frequently and adjust your ingredients to your taste.
  • OMG Chili with cheese on top.
    Step 3
    Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Serve with my cornbread recipe or your favorite cornbread, crackers, or fresh bread.
