Have made this since a child and always a hit even with kids.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 cup celery chopped
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can cream of tomato soup
  • 2-3 - bay leaves
  • 1=2 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1 small green pepper

How To Make mom's goulash

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef with onion, celery, green pepper, salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    cook macaroni to el dente per package directions and then drain and add to meat mix
  • Step 3
    Add the stewed tomatoes and tomato soup. Simmer on low for 15-20 minutes with the bay leaves. Remove bay leaves before serving
  • Step 4
    Serve with a crisp tossed salad and rolls
  • Step 5
    Have leftovers??? You can also add a small can of tomato sauce or V8 juice and put in baking dish. Cover with Cheddar Cheese and bake in oven at 375 for about 30 minutes or until hot and cheese is melted making sure it is covered.
