Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 16 ounces shredded mexican cheese
  • 1 small green bell pepper-chopped
  • 1 small red bell pepper-choped
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • 2 cloves garlic-minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili power
  • 1 ounce 16 tortilla chips-coarsely crushed
  • 1 taco seasoning mix pkt,
  • 1-15 ounce black olives- sliced
  • 1-4 ounce mild green chiles

How To Make mexican tortilla skillet

  • Step 1
    In a nonstick skillet, add 3 T canola oil or any other cooking oil. Sauté' veggies on med/high heat. Add onto a platter, and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Brown up ground beef until no longer pink. Drain grease. Add Taco Pkt, using pkt directions.
  • Step 3
    Add back in veggies. Stir to incorporate. Meanwhile, sprinkle in crushed chips. Stir to coated with meat and veggie mixture. Slice Black olives.
  • Step 4
    Sprinkle over cheese. Top with secure lid for 7 min. or until cheese is totally melted.
  • Step 5
    Serve and enjoy. You may add a dollop of sour cream/ and or olives if you wish. I only used olives
