I got this casserole dish out of a local newspaper a very long time ago. It won first prize in a cooking contest and I have made it for my family since then. It is a delicious way to serve Mexican.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound kidney beans.drained
- 1 pound salsa
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 pound mont. jack cheese, sliced
- 1 pound sour cream
- 1 - 6 oz. bag dorito chips (i like cheese)
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
How To Make mexican casserole

Step 1Brown beef and add drained kidney beans, salsa, tomato sauce (depending on the thickness), onion and 1 1/2 cups cheese. Bake in a 2 qt. casserole uncovered at 375 for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and spread top with 1 1/2 cup sour cream. Cover with 1/2 c mont. jack. Surround edges with Dorito chips and return to oven for another 4 to 5 minues or until cheese is melted.
