meatloaf...my farm style 1954 recipe
A very good,plain ole simple,basic farm style meatloaf recipe. I put this together one day when I was in a hurry....on the farm we were always busy. It turned out to be a winner!! Sometimes the simplest recipe turns out to be the best! My friends and family like it, so I thought you gals might give it a try.... This is from 1954 in Indiana.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 1 medium finely chopped onion
- 1 - egg
- 10 - saltine crackers
- 1/2 cup bar-b-q sauce
How To Make meatloaf...my farm style 1954 recipe

Step 1Soak crackers in 3/4 cup water,for a few minutes. Squeeze the water out.Do not save the water. Then mix all the above ingredients together.

Step 2Put in a loaf pan , Take a little water and wipe the sides, and top of the loaf with the water. Don't laugh ...This step is important.

Step 3Bake in a 350 pre-heated oven, for 25 to 30 minutes. Serve with your favorite potatoes and a vegetable. Enjoy!!!
