Meat Ball Grinders

These are so good and easy to make .And the best thing about it is you can make this in your slow cooker .

1/4 c
chopped onion
1 can(s)
15 oz diced tomatoes,juice and all
1 can(s)
8oz tomato sauce
2 Tbsp
tomato paste
1 tsp
dried italian seasoning
1 lb
ground beef or chicken
1/2 c
fresh whole wheat or white bread crumbs [1 slice of bread
egg lightly beaten
3 Tbsp
finely chopped fresh parsley
2 clove
1/4 tsp
1/8 tsp
black pepper
4 small
hard rolls split
4 Tbsp
grated parmesan cheese
3 Tbsp
olive oil, extra virgin


1Combine onions,diced tomatoes,,tomato sauce,tomatoe paste and italian seasoning in slow cooker.Cover and cook on low 3 to 4 hours or until onions are soft.
2During the lat 30 minutes of cooking time ,make you meat balls ,combine beef,bread crumbs,egg,parsley,garlic,salt and pepper in medium bowl.
3With wet hands form mixture into 12 to 16 meatballs.Put olive oel in skillet heat over medium heat till hot .Add meatballs cook about 8 to 10 minutes or until well browned on all sides.
4Remove from heat add to slow cooker,cook 1 to 2 hours or until meatballs are no longer pink in centers .Place 3 to 4 meatballs in each roll.Divide sauce evenly, spoon over meatballs .Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese.
