Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/3 cup rice, uncooked
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 - onion, finely sliced
- 1 - egg, well beaten
- 1 cup tomato soup
- 1 - juice from 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon parsley, minced
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- - salt and pepper
- 6 - cabbage leaves
How To Make cabbage rolls (old german recipe)

Step 1Season the hamburger well with salt, pepper and add the egg.

Step 2Mix well.

Step 3Mix in rice.

Step 4To make sauce, melt the butter and add the tomato soup and an equal amount of water and add to onion.

Step 5Add the parsley, celery, lemon juice, sugar, salt and pepper, and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 6Wash the cabbage leaves and boil until tender.

Step 7Put 2 tablespoons of meat mixture in each leaf and roll tightly.

Step 8Secure each roll with a toothpick.

Step 9Place in a saucepan and pour sauce over rolls.

Step 10Cover pan tightly and cook slowly for 3 hours.

Step 11Serve very hot.
