Ingredients
- 1 cup sweet onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 15 ounces canned diced tomatoes
- 28 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 jar pace thick and chunky salsa (mild or medium)
- 2-3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon baking cocoa
- 1-2 can light red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
How To Make maw's chili

Step 1In a large sauce pan, saute the onion and garlic and then add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink.

Step 2Add the tomatoes, sauce and salsa and stir together. Add the chili powder and cocoa and simmer for 20 minutes

Step 3Add drained kidney beans and stir to mix well and simmer for 10-20 minutes.
