macaroni chili by eddie

There are so many types of chili. My cousin who lives in San Francisco gave me this recipe and it is so easy to make and taste great to.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 3 tablespoons olive or salad oil
  • 1 -28 ounce can tomatoes
  • 1 quart tomato juice or v-8 juice
  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • - salt
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • 1- 15 ounces can red kidney beans drained
  • 1 cup sweet & sour pickles mixed
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni

How To Make macaroni chili by eddie

  • Step 1
    Brown beef in oil in dutch oven, stirring frequently.
  • Step 2
    Add tomatoes, tomato juice, onions, garlic, 4 teaspoons salt and remaining seasonings.
  • Step 3
    Simmer, covered for 1 hour stir in kidney beans and pickles. Cook for 30 minutes longer.
  • Step 4
    Remove bay leaf. add 1 tablespoon salt to 3 quarts rapidly boiling water. Add macaroni gradually so water continues to boil.
  • Step 5
    Cook uncovered stirring occasionally, until tender. Drain in colander.
  • Step 6
    Combine macaroni with chili. Serve in bowls. Yields 10 Servings.
