Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cups butternut squash,peeled;cut into 1/4-inch chunks
  • 3 pounds ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup smoky barbecue sauce
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce or hot sauce to taste
  • 1 - onion,minced
  • 2 - red peppers,chopped
  • 2 cups dark beer or ale
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 cups ccanned pinto beans,drained
  • 2 cups frozen corn,thawed

How To Make lightened chili

  • Step 1
    Warm 1 tbs.olive oil in skillet on high heat.Add squash;saute.Transfer to a large pot.Return skillet to heat:add remaining oil and turkey.Brown,then add it to the squash.
  • Step 2
    Add next (10)ingredients and place pot over medium heat.Bring to a simmer and lower heat;then cook for (30)minutes.Stir frequently.Add water if necessary to get to your desired thickness or looseness.Stir,remove from heat,add to bowls,and serve.
