olive oil

butternut squash,peeled;cut into 1/4-inch chunks
3 lb
ground turkey
1/2 c
smoky barbecue sauce
3 Tbsp
chili powder
1 Tbsp
ground cumin
2 Tbsp
worcestershire sauce or hot sauce to taste

onion,minced
2
red peppers,chopped
2 c
dark beer or ale
1 c
tomato sauce
2 c
ccanned pinto beans,drained
2 c
frozen corn,thawed

How to Make LIGHTENED CHILI

Step-by-Step

  • 1Warm 1 tbs.olive oil in skillet on high heat.Add squash;saute.Transfer to a large pot.Return skillet to heat:add remaining oil and turkey.Brown,then add it to the squash.
  • 2Add next (10)ingredients and place pot over medium heat.Bring to a simmer and lower heat;then cook for (30)minutes.Stir frequently.Add water if necessary to get to your desired thickness or looseness.Stir,remove from heat,add to bowls,and serve.
