End the Summer with a Bang and a Labor-day feast. What could be better Ribeye steaks, and avocado salad. You can see I have High Hopes for Plans. . . in the making. NOTE: this is not Guacamole, its a Avocado salad. Add watermelon and drinks and you have a fun weekend in store.

Ingredients

  • LABOR DAY RIBEYE
  • 4 - (8oz) ribeye steaks
  • 4 - cloves garlic- minced
  • 1 tsp - cumin
  • 1/4 tsp - ceyenne red pepper ground
  • 2/3 C - a-1 sauce (original)
  • AVOCADO SALAD NOTE; (THIS IS NOT GUACAMOLE)
  • 2 lg - avocados, peeled, pitted, then diced.
  • 1/2 - lime squeezed for juice
  • 1 med - sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 med - green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 large - vine ripe tomato, chopped
  • 1/4 C - fresh chopped cilantro
  • - salt and pepper, & garlic pdr to taste

How To Make labor day ribeye with avocado salad by freda

  • Step 1
    RIBEYE: Preheat Grill to Med High heat. Mix steak sauce with garlic, cumin & pepper, Mix well.
  • Step 2
    Grill steaks 4-6 min on each side, for medium or till desired cooking. Brushing with steak sauce mixture frequently, while cooking. Sprinkle with Montreal steak seasoning or Black pepper, over Sauce on steaks. Rest 3 min before serving Cut each steak in 1/2 to serve. Steak serves 8 @ 1/2 cut steaks each.

    AVOCADO SALAD: in Medium sized Bowl, add avacados, onion, bell peppers, Tomato, Cilantro, and lime Juice. TOSS WELL. Season with salt pepper and Garlic pdr. Chill to serve. Salad Makes 6 servings
