Being disappointed with most of the taco salads I ordered in restaurants I began making my own at home. Always with fresh ingredients.

Ingredients

1 - 1-1/2 lb
lean ground beef
1 pkg
taco seasoning
1 can(s)
black beans
1/4 c
salsa

avocado

cucumber

tortilla chips, crumbled
2 c
mexican blend cheeses, shredded
1 small
onion
1 can(s)
black olives
1 pkg
cherry tomatoes

bag of mixed salad greens
taco sauce or salsa for topping
sour cream for topping

How to Make Taco Salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large skillet brown the meat, drain off grease and return to skillet. Then add black beans juice and taco seasoning, stir and heat through.
  • 2Peel cucumber, remove seeds and cut into small pieces.
  • 3Wash all fresh vegetables and slice, dice or chop
  • 4Build salads on dinner plates as desired using, meat and bean mixture, crumbles tortilla chips, vegetables, and cheeses.
  • 5Drizzle each salad with taco sauce or salsa as desired and top with a dollop of sour cream
