There was a chili recipe that I made a week or two ago. I found it in a Cooking Mystery book and its called Jim's Dilly of a Chili. The name of the book was called 'Dead Men Don't Get The Munchies.'

Ingredients For jim's dilly of a chili.

1 lgonion

1leek
-
1 lggreen pepper, chopped

1 lgred pepper, chopped

1 canwhole tomatoes, with juice

2 candiced, chopped tomatoes

3 Tbspolive oil
-
3 lbground beef or combo of beef and pork

2-3 pkgchili seasoning mix

1 canblack beans, drained and rinsed

1 canred kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 canwhite northern beans, drained and rinsed

3-5sour dill pickles
How To Make jim's dilly of a chili.

1In large skillet, saute onion and leek in olive oil until soft. Add beef or beef and and pork. Brown, and drain excess grease. Transfer meat to large stock pot. Add peppers and tomatoes. Cook for 2 hours on low heat, stirring occasionally. Add chili seasoning to meat mixture. Cook 15 minutes. Add beans, cook an additional 15 minutes. Add dill pickles. Cook until pickles heat through, approximately 5 minutes. Serve with shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream
