Don't these look good? Mmm, I can almost taste the tomato flavor and yummy cheese. It takes very little time to get that Italian flavor. I have tweaked Taste of Home's recipe just a bit.

1/2 c
italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 tsp
dried basil
1/2 tsp
dried oregano
1 or 2 clove
garlic, minced
1/2 tsp
salt
1/8 tsp
pepper
1 lb
beef sirloin steak, boneless
1 Tbsp
olive oil
1 c
pizza sauce
1/4 to 1/2 c
shredded parmesan, romano, & asiago cheese blend

How to Make ITALIAN STEAKS

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a shallow bowl, whisk egg. In another shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, basil, oregano, salt and pepper.
  • 2Cut the steak into four pieces; dip each piece in egg, then coat with bread crumb mixture.
  • 3In a large skillet, cook steaks in oil for 5 minutes on each side. Add garlic and cover; continue cooking over low heat for 20 minutes.
  • 4Meanwhile, heat sauce in a small saucepan. Spoon over steaks; sprinkle with cheese and serve.
