My sister in law made a version of this and I wanted to make my own so this is what I came up with

Ingredients
- 2 pounds pot roast, trimmed
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 1/2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/3 cup chopped onions
- 1 dash salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 2 tablespoons minced parsley
- 1/3 cup beef broth
- 1 1/2 tablespoons dry vermouth
- 6 ounces canned tomato sauce
How To Make italian pot roast

Step 1Heat the oil and butter in a pan. Place roast, garlic, and onions in the oil and butter and cook until brown on all sides, approximately 10 minutes.

Step 2Season with the salt, pepper, and rosemary, and then add the parsley, beef broth, vermouth, and tomato sauce.

Step 3Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until meat is tender.
