My sister in law made a version of this and I wanted to make my own so this is what I came up with

Ingredients For italian pot roast

2 lbpot roast, trimmed

1/2 Tbspolive oil

1 Tbspbutter

1 1/2 clovegarlic (minced)

1/3 cchopped onions

1 dashsalt
-
1/2 tsppepper
-
1/2 tsprosemary
-
2 Tbspminced parsley
-
1/3 cbeef broth
-
1 1/2 Tbspdry vermouth

6 ozcanned tomato sauce
How To Make italian pot roast

1Heat the oil and butter in a pan. Place roast, garlic, and onions in the oil and butter and cook until brown on all sides, approximately 10 minutes.

2Season with the salt, pepper, and rosemary, and then add the parsley, beef broth, vermouth, and tomato sauce.

3Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until meat is tender.
