My sister in law made a version of this and I wanted to make my own so this is what I came up with

Ingredients

2 lb
pot roast, trimmed
1/2 Tbsp
olive oil
1 Tbsp
butter
1 1/2 clove
garlic (minced)
1/3 c
chopped onions
1 dash(es)
salt
1/2 tsp
pepper
1/2 tsp
rosemary
2 Tbsp
minced parsley
1/3 c
beef broth
1 1/2 Tbsp
dry vermouth
6 oz
canned tomato sauce

How to Make Italian pot roast

Step-by-Step

  • 1Heat the oil and butter in a pan. Place roast, garlic, and onions in the oil and butter and cook until brown on all sides, approximately 10 minutes.
  • 2Season with the salt, pepper, and rosemary, and then add the parsley, beef broth, vermouth, and tomato sauce.
  • 3Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until meat is tender.
