- 4-5 pounds beef chuck roast
- 8 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon dried Italian seasonings
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 jar pepperoncini peppers
- 1 tablespoon beef base paste
- 2 cups water
How To Make italian beef

Step 1Cut slits in roast.

Step 2Insert garlic cloves into slits. Put in large roaster or baking dish.

Step 3Mix Italian seasonings, garlic salt, red pepper flakes in a bowl. Cover roast with the seasoning.

Step 4Add pepperoncini peppers.

Step 5Mix beef base with water.

Step 6Then pour over roast.

Step 7Cover and bake in a 300 degree oven for 6-8 hours.

Step 8Remove beef from pan and shred.

Step 9Save broth and chill. Skim fat off of broth and reheat.

Step 10Serve on crusty rolls with smoky provolone and mozzarella slices and warm broth for dipping.
