When I don't know what to have for dinner I will make up a batch of hot beef. This is great to take on picnics and can be doubled if you need a lot. Leftovers can be turned into chili base as well.

Ingredients For homemade hot beef

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 1
    medium onion chopped
  • 3 tsp
    prepared mustard
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1
    8 oz can of tomato sauce
  • 1 c
    tomato juice
  • 2 tsp
    apple cider vinegar

How To Make homemade hot beef

    Brown ground beef in large skillet with onion.

    Drain off excess grease.

    To skillet add mustard, pepper, salt, tomato sauce, tomato juice and vinegar.

    Simmer for 20-30 minutes.
