Ingredients

  • 1 can(s)
    14-oz can beef broth
  • 1/4 c
    low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3
    cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground red pepper
  • 1 lb
    beef flank steak
  • 3 medium
    bell peppers, seeded and cut lengthwise into quarters (red, yellow, green)
  • 1 large
    onion, cut into strips
  • 8
    6-8 inch flour tortillas

    salsa

How to Make Guadalajara Beef

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine beef broth, soy sauce, garlic, cumin, chili powder and ground red pepper in a resealable plastic food storage bag; knead bag to combine. Add beef and seal. Refrigerate up to 24 hours, turning occasionally.
  2. Remove beef from marinade; discard remaining marinade. Grill beef over hot coals 7 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Grill bell peppers and onions 7-10 minutes or until tender, turning once.
  3. Slice beef and serve with bell peppers, onions, tortillas, sour cream and salsa.
