This is a quick sandwich to make and it will feed 4 people very well. I got it out of a highschool cookbook. Yummy!!!!!!!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1/2 cup onion,chopped
  • 1/3 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 4 ounces mushrooms, canned, drained
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 package italian bread loaf
  • 12 slices american cheese

How To Make frontierland sandwich

  • Step 1
    Brown meat; drain. Add onion and green pepper; Cook until tender. Add barbecue sauce, mushrooms, and salt; simmer 15 minutes. Cut lengthwise slice from top of bread. Scoop out center, leaving 1 inch shell. Place half of cheese in shell; fill with hot meat mixture. Cover with remaining cheese and top bread slice. Wrap in foil. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
