Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or venison
  • 1 1/2 pounds lean beef, such as sirloin or round steak, cut into small cubes
  • 1-2 tablespoon olive oil (if needed to brown meat)
  • 3 medium onions, diced
  • 3 - jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
  • 3 cans diced tomatoes (14.5 cans)
  • 2 cans tomato juice (48 oz.)
  • 1 1/2 cups chili powder
  • 1` tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 can wolf brand chili - no beans
  • 3 cans ranch style beans (15 oz.)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1-3 tablespoon cornmeal (to thicken, as needed)

How To Make fredda's slow cooker chili

  • Step 1
    Brown the ground beef and cubed meat.
  • Step 2
    In the slow cooker, combine the ground beef, lean beef, onion, peppers, diced tomatoes, tomato juice and spices. Cook on low for six hours.
  • Step 3
    Stir in the Wolf Brand Chili, Ranch Style Beans, honey & cornmeal.
  • Step 4
    Continue to cook on low for 1-3 hours.
  • Step 5
    Enjoy! Freezes beautifully.
