Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb
    ground beef or venison
  • 1 1/2 lb
    lean beef, such as sirloin or round steak, cut into small cubes
  • 1-2 Tbsp
    olive oil (if needed to brown meat)
  • 3 medium
    onions, diced
  • 3
    jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
  • 3 can(s)
    diced tomatoes (14.5 cans)
  • 2 can(s)
    tomato juice (48 oz.)
  • 1 1/2 c
    chili powder
  • 1` Tbsp
    paprika
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cumin
  • 2 Tbsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 can(s)
    wolf brand chili - no beans
  • 3 can(s)
    ranch style beans (15 oz.)
  • 1 Tbsp
    honey
  • 1-3 Tbsp
    cornmeal (to thicken, as needed)

How to Make Fredda's Slow Cooker Chili

Step-by-Step

  1. Brown the ground beef and cubed meat.
  2. In the slow cooker, combine the ground beef, lean beef, onion, peppers, diced tomatoes, tomato juice and spices. Cook on low for six hours.
  3. Stir in the Wolf Brand Chili, Ranch Style Beans, honey & cornmeal.
  4. Continue to cook on low for 1-3 hours.
  5. Enjoy! Freezes beautifully.
