A Friend sent this to me a long time ago... since then, I went into the kitchen and did some adjusting my way... I hope you like it as much as I do....

Ingredients For fireman bob's cincinnati chili done my way...

  • 2 lb
    lean ground beef
  • 1 qt
    water
  • 1 lg
    can - petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic powder or 3 cloves of garlic (cloves are best)
  • 2 md
    onions - diced small
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 tsp
    cumin powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    ground allspice
  • 2
    bay leaves
  • 1 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 2
    squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 tsp
    celary seeds
  • 1/2 tsp
    red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    hot sauce ( your choice, i always use tabasco )

How To Make fireman bob's cincinnati chili done my way...

    Brown ground beef with onions; add tomatoes, sauce, water, and rest of spices. Cook at least 3-4 hours on simmer without a lid. Stir occasionally ( every 15 to 20 minutes. )

    Chili can be served in a bowl or over spaghetti and even in a bread bowl...with sides of grated extra sharp cheddar cheese, chili beans, and chopped onions to add as you like.
