A Friend sent this to me a long time ago... since then, I went into the kitchen and did some adjusting my way... I hope you like it as much as I do....

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 quart water
  • 1 large can - petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder or 3 cloves of garlic (cloves are best)
  • 2 medium onions - diced small
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 2 - bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 - squares unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon celary seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce ( your choice, i always use tabasco )

How To Make fireman bob's cincinnati chili done my way...

  • Step 1
    Brown ground beef with onions; add tomatoes, sauce, water, and rest of spices. Cook at least 3-4 hours on simmer without a lid. Stir occasionally ( every 15 to 20 minutes. )
  • Step 2
    Chili can be served in a bowl or over spaghetti and even in a bread bowl...with sides of grated extra sharp cheddar cheese, chili beans, and chopped onions to add as you like.
