Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups traditional spaghetti sauce with garlic (i like prego)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 6 - hamburger buns

How To Make ellen's easy sloppy joes

  • Step 1
    In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the meat, onion and green pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Add salt while cooking. Drain fat.
  • Step 2
    Stir in the spaghetti sauce, mustard, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, uncovered, for about 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Step 3
    When heated through, spoon mixture onto buns and enjoy!
