Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef, lean (i use the 93/7 blend)
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 3 cups cabbage, diced
- 1 can (14.5oz can) stewed tomatoes
- 1 can (8oz can) tomato sauce, (no salt) (i used hunt’s no salt added)
- 1/2 cup brown rice, short grain
- 3 cups beef broth, low sodium (more if you wish)
- - pepper, to taste

Step 1Brown ground beef in a good non stick pan. When the meat is browned add the diced onion, sauteing until opaque.

Add the diced cabbage, stewed tomato, tomato sauce, 1/2 cup brown rice, and 3 cups beef broth. Add pepper to taste. Let come to a boil then turn down to a simmer for 30 to 45 minutes covered.
