easy slow-cooked pot roast

This is a very simple recipe, but very moist and delicious. I got this from my dad. He would start this dish early in the morning and by dinner time it would be done.

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 pound chuck roast
  • 1-1/4 cup low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dry italian seasonings
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • - salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 - red potatoes, cleaned, cut into chunks
  • 12 ounces baby carrots
  • 1 - bag frozen pearl onions, not in sauce

How To Make easy slow-cooked pot roast

  • Step 1
    Place roast in slow-cooker. Pour broth over roast. Drizzle w/ worcestershire sauce. Sprinkle w/ italian seasonings, onion powder, and garlic powder. Season w/ salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Cover, cook on low for 7 hrs. remove roast from cooker. Add potatoes, carrots and onions to cooker. Return roast to cooker, placing roast on top of veggies.
  • Step 3
    Cover, cook on high 1-1/2 hrs, or until veggies are tender, pouring broth over roast.
