Easy Diet-Friendly Beef Tips and Gravy
2 to 2 1/2 lbstew beef
2 cbeef broth
2 pkgbrown gravy mix (dry powder in the envelope)
1 pkgdry mushroom gravy mix
·salt and pepper to taste
How to Make Easy Diet-Friendly Beef Tips and Gravy
- Cut stew beef into bite sized chunks and trim away any visible fat. Peel and quarter onions.
- In a bowl or large measuring cup, combine beef broth and gravy mixes.
- Place all ingredients into a crock pot and cook on high for about an hour. Reduce heat to low and cook about three to four more hours or until meat is tender and gravy has thickened. Serve over rice, noodles or mashed potatoes.
- NOTE: If gravy appears to be too thin, you may add a little cornstarch mixed with water in the last hour of cooking.
