This recipe is one of my Hubby's favorites. If you are not fortunate enough to have venison you may use beef for this recipe. This is a Heart Healthy recipe that I have been serving to family and friends for years.

Ingredients
- 1 can cranberry sauce (jellied)
- 1 package onion soup mix
- 1/2 cup italian salad dressing
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon malt or cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon mrs dash seasoning
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 8 ounces mushrooms (chopped)
- 2 16 0z cans chicken or beef broth
- 2 pounds venison
How To Make cranberry venison

Step 1Rinse meat, cut into small peices, place in bottowm of 3 Quart Crockpot.

Step 2Chop mushrooms and onions. Place them on top of meat in crockpot.

Step 3Mix all other ingredients in bowl until all items are well blended. Pour this mixture over food in crockpot.

Step 4Place lid on crockpot. Cook on High for two hours. Cook on low for six hours until meat is done. OR - You could cook this on low for eight or nine hours (overnight) as I often do, eliminating the need to change the temperature.

Step 5Serve over warm rice with your favorite vegetables and rolls.
