Ingredients

1/4 c
cooking oil
1/2 medium
onion sliced
(6) 4 oz
cubed beef steak
1/2 c
flour
1/2 tsp
salt
1/4 tsp
pepper
1/2 c
water

How to Make country fried steak

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cover the bottom of a large heavy skillet with the cooking oil. Turn to medium heat and saute the onion until tender. Remove the onion and set aside.
  • 2Combine flour with the salt and pepper. Dredge the steaks in the seasoned flour.
  • 3Fry each side of each steak in the oil in the skillet 4 to 5 minutes over medium heat. Cover the steaks with onion and enjoy.
