Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 medium onion sliced
  • (6) 4 ounces cubed beef steak
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

How To Make country fried steak

  • Step 1
    Cover the bottom of a large heavy skillet with the cooking oil. Turn to medium heat and saute the onion until tender. Remove the onion and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Combine flour with the salt and pepper. Dredge the steaks in the seasoned flour.
  • Step 3
    Fry each side of each steak in the oil in the skillet 4 to 5 minutes over medium heat. Cover the steaks with onion and enjoy.
