Ingredients
- - meat sauce:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound italian pork sausage
- 3/4 cup chopped onions
- 1 can italian plum tpmatos, cut up and undrained
- 1 - 6oz can tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- - cheese mixture
- 1 - 15oz container of ricotta cheese
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 - beaten eggs
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 4 cups shredded mozzarella
- 10 - uncooked lasagna noodles

Step 1Cook noodles, drain and place in cold water

Step 2in large saucepan combine beef, sausage, and onion. Cook till meat is done., Drain. Add all remaining meat sauce ingredients, mix well. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 30-45 minutes or till very thick. Stirring occasionally

Step 3In a medium bowl combine all cheese mixture ingredients, except mozzarella. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spread about 1/2 cup of meat sauce over the bottom of a lightly greased 13x9 baking dish. Top with 3 noodles, half of cheese mixture and half of the mozzarella. repeat layers, ending with the mozzarella.

Step 4Bake for 35-45 minutes or till bubbly. Let stand a few minutes before serving
