This is my Grandmothers recipe,and we here in Nebraska serve our chili with cinnamon rolls and cheddar cheese :) I've heard its only a Mid-west thing, but take my word for it and give it a try, it will become a hit in your home :)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds browned hamburger and drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 can whole tomatoes 28 oz
  • 1 can kidney beans 30 oz
  • 1 can chili beans 30 oz
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon sugar

How To Make chili soup

  • Step 1
    Brown hamburger, cook til down, drain and return to stove top pan.
  • Step 2
    Add all Ingredients and simmer for about 1 hour. Stirring frequently.
  • Step 3
    ** In Nebraska we serve our chili with cinnamon rolls and cheddar cheese, this is optional, but HIGHLY recommended, give it a try, you only live once! :)
